**Purpose**

The Community Engagement Assistant will work with the leadership team to engage residents in the community, develop initiatives, outreach, and coordinate meetings with a variety of stakeholders. The primary team for the Community Engagement Assistant will be with the Community Action Table Projects - Georgina,

**Office Hours**

30 hours per week, with evening and weekend work as required. Flexible hours and hybrid of in office and in community. Travel within Georgina required

**Responsibilities**
- Support the implement neighbourhood activities through resident led grants
- Conduct outreach and be present in the community; represent the organization at community events
- Support Community Ambassadors
- Provide support to residents in completing reporting post neighbourhood activities
- Promote Community Action Table initiatives in the community
- Provide administrative support to the Georgina CAT and its working groups

**Requirements**:

- Outgoing and excellent communication skills
- Organized and strong time management skills
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends at community events
- Experience doing outreach and community engagement
- Understanding and familiarity with Georgina, especially Northern Georgina (Sutton, Jackson’s point)
- Proficiency with social media and digital platforms such as MS Office

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $23.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Georgina, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- community engagement: 1 year (preferred)
