The City of Calgary Composting Facility is a $143 Million-dollar facility that opened its operations on July 18th, 2017. It is located adjacent to the Shepard Waste Management Facility, south of 114th Avenue and 68 Street SE Calgary.

**Opportunity Profile**

AIM is looking for an experienced Facility Maintenance Manager to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, notable day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Manager will include the following:
**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate across a team of maintenance and operations professionals demonstrating outstanding leadership, teamwork, and execution.
- Participates in training to become fluent in all infrastructure and equipment to perform daily operations. This includes but is not limited to the following:

- Komptech 5200 Stationary Electric Crambo and Mobile Crambo
- Komptech 2-SE Star Screen System
- Komptech Cribus 5000 Hybrid
- Supreme Enviro 900T Electric Mixers
- IFE Trisomat Flip Flop Screen
- Volvo 120, 150, and 180 Wheel Loaders; John Deere 724, 744, and 824 Loaders
- Skyjack EWP
- HVAC, Air Exchange, and Blower Systems
- Hydraulics
- PLC Controls
- SCADA and Instrumentation Systems
- Inspects job and determines nature and extent of repairs, methods, materials, tools, etc. so that job is performed by acceptable safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Checks blueprints and consults with the General Manager regarding all regulatory, safety, and manufacturer standards and requirements.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all plant and equipment.
- Recommends system and parts modifications, repair or replacement, changes in materials, and improvements in methods.
- Performs scheduled, emergency, and preventative maintenance of all plant, equipment, and tools.
- Maintains log books as required by regulatory, policy, and procedures.
- Attend monthly Health and Safety meetings and participate in site inspections when needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Journeyman Millwright or Journeyman Electrician with related experience.
- At least three years experience preferred in a Facility Maintenance Manager role
- Experience with heavy equipment, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- SCADA or PLC knowledge is an asset or strong aptitude to learn.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of the commercial composting infrastructure, equipment, systems, and processes an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to respond to emergency calls.
