Cottage Retreat Maintenance Technician

The corporate retreat hosts visitors from various industries and offers an executive level resort experience, similar to a high-end Airbnb. The _**Cottage Retreat Maintenance Technician **_will be responsible for maintaining all areas of the property to a high standard, including care of winter and summer powersports equipment. On average there would be 2-3 visits to the property needed during busier seasons and 1-2 visits per week during slower seasons. The position is located within the Kenora area, on Black Sturgeon Lake.
**What You Will Do**:
- Assess all areas requiring service upon guest check out
- Complete and document maintenance tasks both inside the cottage and on the exterior grounds
- Maintain powersports equipment such as snowmobiles, boats, and seadoos
- Inspect, refuel, and clean boats and powersport equipment in between guests
- Coordinate repairs and service, including transportation of equipment to and from service shops for regular service work and unexpected breakdowns
- On occasion, you may also be asked to provide tutorials and orientations on the equipment to guests
- Maintain the exterior grounds of the property
- Winter - Plowing, shoveling, and sanding driveway and sidewalks
- Summer - Cutting and trimming grass, as well as sweeping and pressure washing exterior areas as needed
- Complete various seasonal changeover tasks in the Spring and Fall
- Taking boats in and out of the water
- Setting up and pulling out docks
- Setting up and putting away outdoor furniture
- Maintain garages, sheds, and their contents in a clean and organized fashion
- Coordinate with the _Cottage Retreat Cleaner _on tasks required, such as completing indoor maintenance tasks prior to them cleaning for the next guest.
**What You Will Bring**:
- Experience with basic maintenance and operation of powersports and marine equipment would be an asset
- Ability to work both weekdays and weekends depending on schedule of bookings
- Reliability and adaptability
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
