**Description of the Position**:
Carpenter's form the backbone of the work we do at Torgunrud Construction, providing that essential experience and skillset, mentorship to green hands, and working with leadership teams to find viable solutions. The position of carpenter is a field based position where you will be assigned to a project or a jobsite. The overview of this position is that the carpenter is responsible for communicating with leadership personnel, coordinating their activities with the workers around them, executing their tasks to the best of their ability, and maintaining a positive attitude.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The position of Carpenter will be expected to be able to reasonably and competently perform the following duties and responsibilities:

- Utilization of company software (2 programs + Microsoft office)
- Perform duties individually and as part of a team
- Coordinate and work with site personnel to ensure projects are completed in an efficient, compliant, and safe manner while maintaining industry and company standards
- Implement project planning as required
- Receive and review work orders from leadership teams, execute tasks as required
- Tool up as required to support project targets, perform skilled construction labor as required
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations on work sites
- Implement and enforce company policies ad procedures on work sites
- Provide detailed reports and returns to leadership as required
- Develop and Mentor subordinates, improving their knowledge and capabilities
- Assist with and perform the preparation of plans, safe work plans, assignments, and etc
- Communicate and explain decisions and outcomes to apprentices and laborer's as necessary

**Experience**:
The position of Carpenter is required to have the following experience for consideration.
- 5 years of construction experience in the carpentry trade performing renovations or new build construction
- History of exceptional safety compliance to maintain a target of zero injuries and illnesses onsite
- History of being a part of a professional and competent team
- Understanding and experience in working with carpentry related tasks and tools
- Experience in exterior and interior work scopes such as framing, drywall, flooring, baseboards and casing, siding, roofing, windows, doors and more

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Current drivers license
- Reliable transportation to travel between jobsites and the office
- Clean drivers abstract
- Clean criminal background check
- Ability to pass alcohol and drug testing for jobsite access requirements, as required
- High school completed (grade 12)
- Strong understanding of the English language in both written and verbal forms
- Strong computer skills to utilize company software programs
