**#Position**: Environmental, Permitting and Engagement Manager

Canagold Resources Ltd is seeking an Environmental Manager familiar with and experience in the BC Environmental Permitting process to oversee the company’s efforts in permitting the New Polaris Gold project and develop and implement an environmental monitoring procedures and management system.

Canagold is a gold exploration and development company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) Main Board with projects in British Columbia and Nevada.

The current focus for the company is advancing the New Polaris property located in Nothern BC on the traditional territory of the Taku River Tlingit First Nations through Feasibility, Environmental Permitting and Construction to become a 100,000 ounce per year gold producer.

The New Polaris property has a 1.1-million-ounce resource grading 10.5 gpt gold. Plans are to develop a 1,000 tpd ramp accessed underground mining operation using long hole and cut and fill stopping methods. Processing will utilize flotation with bio-oxidation of the flotation concentrate followed by CIL leaching to produce gold dore bars. The current mine life is anticipated to be about 10 years.

The Feasibility Study and Environmental Permitting is being conducted by Ausenco Engineering with completion of the Feasibility Study expected around the end of 2023 and Environmental Permitting to be completed by Mid-2025.

**Qualifications**:

- Post Secondary degree specializing in a related technical environmental discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in environmental position in the mining industry.
- Experience in environmental assessments, permitting, compliance management and due diligence.
- A strong understanding of the British Columbia and Canadian environmental regulatory and permitting requirements.
- A successful track record of working closely with First Nations and other affected parties.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willing to travel within Canada and the USA as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide guidance on requirements relating to environmental assessments and permitting.
- Manage the execution of the environmental assessment process.
- Oversee the environmental permitting activities currently being conducted by Ausenco Sustainability.
- Lead the preparation of high quality environmental permitting documentation.
- Develop and manage environmental and social systems and practices.
- Collaborate with project engineering and planning teams to integrate environmental and social elements into project development plans.
- Develop and implement environmental compliance management systems.
- Maintain and grow good relations with First Nations and other parties affected by the development of a mining operation at New Polaris.

**Remuneration**:
Canagold offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience with a medical and dental benefits package.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
