**Job Description and Duties-NON-FERROUS GRADER**

**NON-FERROUS GRADER responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for purchases of non-ferrous scrap metals. Ability to identify, grade, and determine quality of all metals.
- Purchases scrap metal materials in accordance based on pricing standards/models established by Company policy
- Communicates clearly and directly with employees concerning purchases in relation to our grading system.
- Implements all aspects of material purchasing and inventory.
- Confirms sales with inventory and supervisor to review issues and determine changes if required.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve quality, service, and cost of all materials and/or services.
- General clean up and yard maintenance.
- Basic sorting of scrap, as well as metal and debris in preparation processing.
- Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.
- Report all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions for maintenance or repair to the proper supervisor.
- Provides backup support to department personnel when necessary.
- Provide mentorship to less experienced personnel within the department..

**Qualifications**
- Strong and effective verbal communication skills.
- Must have the skills and ability to properly supervise work processes and ensure that essential duties are performed in a timely manner. Customer service skills are a must. Must be able to represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Can frequently communicate complex information and interact with management. May train others.
- Scrap Metal experience is an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
