Pressman Operator

Founded over thirty years ago, BD Graphics & Printing is a family-owned trade printer known for its superior expertise and know-how in the North American printing industry. We offer efficient and top-quality print projects for all budgets and business types.

This role is based at our plant in Scarborough, and reports to the Printing Supervisor. Working hours are **Monday to Friday from 6:00 pm - 6:00 am.**

We are currently looking for a **Experience Pressman (Press Operator)** to set-up, operate, and troubleshoot the printing and monitoring machines **(**Mitsubishi Tandem Perfector**)** in order to produce offset press projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Operating the offset presses in accordance with equipment operating procedures.
- Communicating with Prepress to ensure a complete understanding of the order.
- Adjusting and running the offset press.
- Monitoring the waste and spoilage during run mode, making adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshooting any press-related issues and assisting with routine operational maintenance and repairs.
- Monitoring for quality issues, and/or errors found during the printing process.
- Providing reports & scan completed job productions, with different materials used and waste produced.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workstation based on 5S system.
- Other duties will be assigned.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience running Mitsubishi Diamond 6 Colour with Coater
- Solid knowledge of 4 colour process & registration.
- Printing press experience is required.
- Must possess good judgment, sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
