**Job opening for: Structural Site Reviewer**
Burnaby/Vancouver based structural engineering firm known for its engineering excellence, is currently looking for a full time structural site reviewer, with at least 2 years of experience. We specialize in commercial, residential, light industrial, recreational and institutional buildings in BC and Alberta.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Review projects in the field to ensure compliance with the approved design.
- Ensure field reviews are undertaken in keeping with applicable codes and current practices.
- Confirm that the Geotechnical Engineer, prior to proceeding with structural work, has undertaken field review of soil conditions, pilings and rock anchors.
- Conduct reinforcing steel field reviews.
- Review structural member dimensions.
- Conduct structural steel and decking field reviews.
- Conduct masonry and reinforcing steel field reviews.
- Conduct wood framing & light gauge steel studs field reviews.
- Check for any design deficiencies that may become apparent during construction.
- Prior to each field review, review the drawings with the site superintendent to discuss any concerns or problems.
- Screen each site visit to ensure the work is complete and ready for review.
- Prepare a handwritten review report for all site reviews.
- Assist with construction administration, including shop drawing reviews.
**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
