- Clean, chip and paint deck surfaces
- Handle mooring lines, and splice and repair ropes, wire cables and cordage
- Operate and maintain off-loading liquid pumps and valves
- Operate, maintain and repair deck equipment

- First Aid Certificate
- Transport Canada Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers
- Transport Canada engine room rating¿Certification
- Marine Emergency Duties Certificate
- Transport Canada Dangerous Cargo Handling Endorsement
