Retreat Program Facilitator

**Regeneration Outreach Community **is a community of caring persons who, as an expression of Christian love in action, are continually striving to provide dignity to the lives of all those in need. We operate seven days a week bringing healing, personal growth and spiritual awareness to those in need within a safe and caring environment.
The Retreat Program Facilitator will report directly to the Director of Community Engagement, and work alongside the Volunteer Coordinator to provide an engaging and meaningful experience for both high school and corporate retreats as they visit and take part in the daily programs at Regeneration Outreach Community.
The Retreat Program at Regeneration is designed to welcome community-based groups (schools, businesses, organizations) to take part in the life-giving work that happens in our daily programs; giving each participant an understanding of the mission, the heart and the methodology of what we do, as well as hands-on experience and the satisfaction that comes from serving others. For those who are new to serving, it provides a safe space to gain firsthand experience and debrief, with an opportunity to ask questions and gain understanding of the community that Regeneration serves.
- This position will have the following responsibilities: _
- Lead retreat programs on days that are scheduled, coordinating with the Volunteer Coordinator about all high school and corporate retreat events (retreats regularly run from 9am-2pm on weekdays, some corporate retreats could also be for breakfast which would require an earlier time frame, potentially 6:45am-12pm).
- Welcome and orientate groups that arrive at Regen locations, leading them through a introductory program and leading briefing and debriefing sessions to prepare and reflect on the experiences during the program
- Answering questions and sharing the story of Regen and its guests to all of those who participate in retreats (students, teachers, corporate visitors, etc.)
- Coordinate with Regen team members (kitchen staff, frontline and program staff) to ensure that Retreat runs smoothly with meal and social activities, providing concise direction and oversight during the programming
- Provide feedback to Director of Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator on the retreat program and ways to improve the program delivery
- Ensure necessary preparation for each retreat day, and ensure that all program materials are tidied before end of day
- Other tasks as assigned

- Effective time management skills
- Comfortable leading large groups including high school students and adults
- Ability to share Regen’s story and to engage others in the mission of the organization
- Positive attitude and consistent energy level
- Classroom experience is a strong asset, good customer service skills are critical

**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
