The OTA/PTA will support the occupational therapist and physiotherapist in an outpatient rehabilitation environment in the Step Up and Assess and Restore Programs. Under the supervision of the therapists, the assistant will progress patients with physical, cognitive and psychosocial impairments with the aim at gaining functional independence.
**Qualifications**
Halton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.
- Graduate of combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
- At least one year experience in rehabilitation, geriatrics and/or neurology preferred
- Experience working in an outpatient setting preferred
- Shows initiative, flexibility and enjoys working with a multidisciplinary team
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to motivate, be empathetic and client-centered in all interactions with patients
- Satisfactory attendance and employment record

**Salary**: $28.562 per hour to $32.876 per hour
