- Managing the setup of events
- Running the floor and coordinating the food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff
- Monitoring the inventory of supplies, equipment, and furniture
- Tending to guests' requests, questions, and complaints.
- Welcoming guests upon their arrival and assisting them with their seating arrangements.
- Setting up and managing staff shifts and timetables.
- Ensuring that the venue and facilities remain neat and clean.
- Ensuring that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to.

**Service Lead Job Procedure**:

- Arrive to event location 15 Minutes before the rest of the crew
- Learn at perfection event scheduled times of services ,menus,allergies and any small set-up details
- Be prepared with a plan of execution of the event by coordinating the rest of the team for a perfect high level service
- Coordinate each staff to the respective positions by giving the tasks in order to set-up the space
- Inspects table place settings, including table linen, silverware, china, glass and condiments for correct placement by servers and to ensure that each element is clean, undamaged and attractive
- Ensure that a high level of sanitation and cleanliness is maintained before, during and after each shift.
- Review any changes on Banquet Event Order for start times, set-up requirements
- Verify with Catering Coordinator for any last minute changes
- Check the function room for cleanliness, burnt light bulbs, proper door signage and making sure it is damage free.
- Maintain constant contact with the Event Coordinator and Chef to ensure complete, effective communication between food production, food service.
- Coordinate all the service aspect (Bar, service and kitchen when event required Parlato’s to think about everything)
- Coordinates pick-up times and gives exact count after guests have been seated, advice as to last minute timing and any special menu requests.(if eve
- Conducts daily stand-up, reviewing any general information for servers, along with pre-meal briefing and uniform inspection. Post end of shift side duties.
- Responsible for proper setting of buffet tables and other food service tables used for catering functions.
- Sees that all functions take place on time and according to plan. All rooms are to be ready 30 minutes ahead of scheduled time and ready to receive guests.
- Responsible for all servers on the floor and supervises service received by guests throughout the function assigned.
- Ensure staff is ready at attention 15 minutes before start time.
- Supervises clearing and post function clean up. Checks servers out, making sure that function rooms, back hall and storage areas are neat and clean and equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
- Distributes all necessary paperwork at the end of shift.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 year customer service experience required
- At least one 5 supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to share information with the areas leads as well as staff
- At least 5 years food & beverage experience required
- Prior banquets experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must possess valid Food Handlers card
- Ability to use Word, Excel
