**Course: GGR325H5 S Business and Industrial Geography (Ssc)**

**Description**:_ _This course uses economic principles and geographical analysis to help you understand the global economic map of the early 21st century. It aims to show the way in which economic activities are organized within and across countries and how this affects people and communities. Both broad patterns of economic organization and specific case studies will be discussed. Topics covered range from the impact of public policy on regional growth to a case study of the financial services industries. In short, the course attempts to answer the following question about the global economic map: "What is where, and why? and so what?". [24L]

**Salary**: Sessional Lecturer I - $9,182.42
In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, rate of pay is $9,182.42 for a half (F/S) course. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from the rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

**Description of Duties**: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising TA’s assigned to course; order all necessary readings. The mode of instruction for this course is expected to be in-person. However, if this changes for any reason, you will be provided with as much advance notice as practicable.
