Excavator Operator

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, such as excavators and loaders, to perform various construction and excavation tasks. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform excavation, digging, and earthmoving tasks
- Use excavators to load and unload materials, such as dirt, rocks, and debris
- Perform horizontal drilling and trenching for utility installations
- Bulldoze and level terrain for construction projects
- Assist in the build and maintenance of roads, driveways, and other infrastructure
- Operate loaders to transport materials around the job site
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning

**Skills**:

- Proficient in operating excavators and loaders
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Experience in commercial driving for transporting equipment to job sites
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
- Skilled in digging trenches, grading land, and paving roads
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues

**Salary**: From $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 60 per week

**Experience**:

- Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
