After School Program Leaders - Visual Arts, specifically working with clay, painting, drawing & crafting.

Part Time: 2-6 hours a week | Rate: Starting at $20.00/hr. Negotiable depending on experience. | Position begins January 7, 2025.

Qualifications:

- Have a joy and passion working with children ages 5-14 years old
- Must have experience lesson planning and leading a range of activities to children and/or youth
- Must be comfortable lesson planning, charting, and filling out required paperwork throughout programming
- Must be comfortable leading programs to groups up to 25 participants. Assistant instructors will also be present in larger classes.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, site staff, parents & children
- Must be highly reliable, punctual, professional and responsible
- Have the ability to create a safe and welcoming space for children and youth to explore their love for creativity.
- Must be comfortable dealing with various behaviours and challenges that may come up during program duration
- Be a positive role model to all our students

Certifications/Licenses:

- Current first-aid certificate.
- Drivers license.
- Must complete and pass a Police Information Check working with the vulnerable sector.
