Accounting/credit Associate

**General Purpose**:
**Key responsibilities**:
**Accounting**
- Post invoices into the ERP system (M3)
- Manage invoices received through AP system (Esker)
- Verify expense reports and make sure the expenses agree with the company policy
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Initiate accounts payables payments: Checks/ACHs/Credit cards
- Inventory
- Post in-transit invoice
- Invoice control (receive stock in M3)
- Post freight and duty invoices
- Help provide supporting documentation for external audits and bank field examinations
- Serve as backup for processing customs transactions
**Credit**
- Post payments (preparation of deposits)
- Responsible for customer payments by credit card
- Adjustments into the AR system
- Reconcile vendor/customer statements and research and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with dealer payment confirmations
- Generate and send invoices/statements to clients.
- Assist the Credit Manager - Canada and the North American Treasury/Canadian Accounting Manager in any other tasks
**Qualifications**:
- DEP or DEC (AEC) in accounting or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; three-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong computer skills especially in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be Bilingual: English and French
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, interpretive and organized with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written forms
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
**Physical Demands**
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, to operate a personal computer and other standard office equipment such as a phone, fax and photocopier.
**Experience**
2-3 years in a similar position
