Accounting Generalist

_**Diversified Ulbrich**_, is an aluminum and stainless steel service center and distributor. Our Toronto (Woodbridge) location is seeking an _**Accounting Generalist. **_This position will be responsible for various tasks within the accounting department, Accounts Receivable, Account payable, and providing general back up for the department.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Verify packing slips against purchase orders.
- Enter and process material receipts into ERP system, verifying quantities, weights and cost against purchase orders.
- Receive and confirm branch transfers from inter-branches.
- Assist with inventory administration.
- Receive invoices, match against supporting documents (purchase orders, receiving records, etc.), investigate and resolve any discrepancies, obtain appropriate approvals when needed and process invoices for payment.
- Communicate with and respond to vendors concerning payables issues.
- Reconcile vendor statements and address past due items.
- Issue inventory adjustments as required.
- Work with the finance team on month-end close.
- Prepare and reconcile month end reports.
- Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure overseas purchase orders are accurate.
- Backup other team members and assist with special projects.
- A degree in accounting or a related field preferred, plus experience in accounting.
- Must demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Must have excellent multi-tasking, organization, and attention to detail skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay: $40,718.62-$55,048.59 per year
