We do Mechanical wiring all types of mechanical equipment like VFD’s, boilers, chillers, cooling towers and building automation systems.
The work is throughout the GTA primarily on commercial sites & the common area of apartment buildings installing new systems or upgrading existing ones.
- Must have your own vehicle and a valid Driver’s License.
- Apprentices must have at least completed Intermediate level.
- Must have Industrial Experience (2 years).
- Must be willing to run small jobs.
- Bending and running of EMT conduit
- At least a basic level knowledge of OESC
- Deciding on the best methods for visualizing, measuring, and estimating work as appropriate for the job situation
- Deciding when additional materials are needed in order to complete required work
- Able to Damper actuators, Install and wiring duct static sensors, Differential pressure monitors Valves, CO, NO sensors, BACnet and Lon and MS/TP Controller wiring.
- Deciding on best routing options for conduit, wires, and other systems
- Taking steps to ensure maximum safety on the worksite
- Willingness to work overtime as required. Working knowledge of HVAC systems
- Working knowledge of BAS system installation and design
- Working knowledge of network wiring standards and protocols
- Installation of BAS controllers
- Low Voltage wiring
- Troubleshooting, testing and commissioning BAS and HVAC systems and electronics
- Reading and understanding mechanical, electrical plans and wiring diagrams
- Experience bending conduit, service upgrades and terminations a must.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience completing electrical installations.
- Proven BAS knowledge and experience with Niagara experience being a definite asset.
- Over five years of experience in the provision of BAS programming, graphics development, integration, commissioning, and client training. Previous experience with Preventative Maintenance and Service Calls is an asset.
- Proven Niagara experience, N4 Certified is an asset.
- Experience with BACnet and Niagara AX / N4 based products is a must.
- Previous Programming experience of BAS is a must. Experience with Distech an asset
- Proficiency with HVAC systems.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Completed courses related to BAS and HVAC will be considered an asset.
- A technologist or engineering degree is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of IT and networks would be an asset
- Exceptional electrical skills and knowledge.
- Self-starter, highly motivated and independent worker.
- Have valid health and safety, scissor lift, fall prevention and working at heights training.
- Be willing and able to work on ladders and scissor lifts when required
We require a person that has experience in conduit bending and installation that can work alone. Has own tools.
