**General Purpose**:
Supports and assists the Executive Chef and culinary staff with food production within the Food & Beverage Department as it relates to the Café, Events and Weddings.

**Essential Duties**:

- Prepares, maintains, and ensures the quality and consistency of food products and expedites orders in a timely manner as per the standards set out by the Executive Chef
- Proper receiving, storage and rotation of food products in compliance with health department regulations, reporting any variances to the Executive Chef
- Practices excellence in operational sanitation, while monitors that all kitchen equipment and workstation are clean and in proper working condition
- Performing simple food preparation tasks and preparing food items in accordance with established recipes
- Maintain a clean kitchen, properly wash and sort soiled/cleaned dishes, assist in removal of full garbage/recycling bins, and sweeping/mopping floors
- Regular and reliable attendance, and incorporates safe work practices in job performance consistently
- Ability to read and speak English fluently
- Preforms any other kitchen related duties as instructed by the Executive Chef

**Physical Demands**:
Frequently stands, uses hand to finger, handle or feel, talks, hears, tastes and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Regularly lifts 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

**Education/Experience**:
At least one year experience in similar role

**Certificates**:
Food Handlers Certificate (obtained or interest in obtaining)

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 40 per week
