ÉMPS offers specialized, exciting programs for students in Pre-K through Grade 4. Our talented staff are dedicated to providing an exceptional education in a safe and caring environment. Our staff engage students through a child-centered philosophy, play and project-based instruction.

**Hours**: 1.0 FTE; Full Time Temporary; 6.5 hrs/day

**Initial Assignment**: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in an Elementary classroom.

**Qualifications & Experience**: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required; experience working with behaviours and students who have difficulty managing emotional responses to frustration is an asset. CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Experience with Trauma Informed practice is an asset. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.

**Hourly Rate**: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
