The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addictions. As Canada’s leading mental illness research facility, CAMH’s Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute (CFMHRI) is home to scientists, staff and research trainees conducting leading research to improve the understanding of the brain and the causes, the biomarkers and cures for mental illness as well as research to advance the prevention and treatment for mental illness and addictions across the lifespan. With a collaborative inter-disciplinary environment that spans clinical, biological, social and epidemiological research, CAMH supports a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. Within the Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute, the Brain Health Imaging Centre (BHIC) is one of the few brain imaging centres in the world fully dedicated to research on mental illness, including addiction. The BHIC leads the way globally in giving scientists the ability to see new paths in the brain chemistry structure, function and behaviour in mental illness.

There are four research-dedicated clinical and preclinical PET scanners on-site at the BHIC: CTI/Siemens HRRT, GE Discovery MI and Mediso nanoScan PET/MR and PET/CT, as well as a clinical GE Discovery 3T MRI.
**Duties**:
**Data Analysis**
- ensure the integrity of calculated quantitative parameters across the broad spectrum of ligands and targets in the PET Centre
- maintain/improve/replace existing methods for data analysis
- perform analysis of pilot data for new studies

**Modelling**
- development and/or implementation of new kinetic models, and methods of analysis to maintain CAMH at the forefront of PET radiopharmaceutical development
- validation of methods to reduce participant burden of PET exams

**Development**

**Core Support**
- support data integrity through oversight of day-to-day function and maintenance of PET scanners and auxiliary equipment (dose calibrators, gamma counters and blood samplers), specifically with respect to factors that influence kinetic modelling
- develop and maintain existing standard operating procedures
- provide training for data processing and quantitative parametric regional analysis and mapping
- Support and participate in risk management, patient safety, and quality improvement activities departmentally and organization-wide
- Perform work in accordance with applicable revisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, professional standards and guidelines, and CAMH corporate and departmental Policies and Procedures

**Qualifications**:

- PhD degree and postdoctoral experience (or equivalent research position) in mathematics, physics, engineering, epidemiology, neurosciences, health sciences or related discipline, with explicit knowledge of nuclear medicine in medical physics
- Recommended years of experience:

- Whilst expertise in human PET neuroimaging studies is mandatory, any additional knowledge and expertise of preclinical imaging will be considered an asset
- Experience and knowledge of research software for PET data analysis, including Pmod, Matlab, R, and related programming and image processing tools
- Experience working with imaging data formats and management systems (i.e., DICOM, Neuroimaging Information Technology Initiative [NIfTI], BIDS, XNAT) is an asset
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively communicate and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Sensitivity, skills and experience working with diverse workforce and communities
