Dog Daycare/kennel Attendant

As a kennel attendant, you will be an integral part of our team to ensure a clean, safe and positive environment for all the animals in our care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring daycare dogs to ensure a safe, fun play environment.
- Reporting dog behaviour, incidents and other important information to the dog's owner and kennel management.
- Accurately preparing meals and feeding both dogs and cats.
- Preparing, administering and reporting medications for both dogs and cats.
- Cleaning and sterilizing cages and suites.
- Completely daily sanitation tasks, including cleaning dishes, washing floors and emptying garbages.
- Removing pet waste.
- Providing one-to-one enrichment activities and/or exercise to dogs staying overnight with us.

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterdown, ON L8B 0W7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- dog daycare: 1 year (preferred)
- kennel operations: 1 year (preferred)
- general animal: 1 year (required)
