**Job Summary**:
The IT Specialist manages and maintains Anchor’s IT infrastructure, provides technical support to internal users, and ensures the security and efficiency of IT systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing technology solutions, and collaborating with various departments to support Anchor’s goals.

**Responsibilities**:
**IT Infrastructure Management**:

- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network resources.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of IT systems and networks.

**Technical Support**:

- Provide technical assistance and support for enquiries and issues involving computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Conduct diagnostics to investigate and resolve technical problems.

**Security and Backup**:

- Implement and manage disaster recovery, backup procedures, and information security measures.
- Monitor the security of all IT systems and ensure compliance with Anchor’s policies and best practices.

**System and Process Improvement**:

- Conduct cost-benefit analyses of IT processes and recommend improvements.
- Streamline and simplify IT processes to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
- Forecast technology requirements and work with management to plan and implement system upgrades and new solutions.

**User Support and Training**:

- Provide orientation and training to new users on existing and new technologies.
- Assist staff with potential uses of existing technology and advise on technology solutions.
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.

**Vendor and Third-Party Management**:

- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for repairs and support services.

**Experience, Knowledge, and Skills**:

- Three-year college diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent experience.
- Three years’ experience as an IT System Administrator or in a similar role, including three years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and SQL operating system.
- Relevant Certifications (e.g. CCNA, A+, MCSE, VCP)
- Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting various hardware and software, peripherals, and office products
- Experience providing technical support in a professional environment
- Networking knowledge and experience (protocols, routers, and switches)
- Experience on different OS platforms (Windows, MacOS, and Linux)
- Proficiency in virtualization environments (Hyper-V and VMware)
- Experience with IP telephony systems and VoIP technologies
- Experience with ERP systems particularly in integrating and supporting ERP solutions within the IT infrastructure, is an asset
- Knowledge and skills in marketing, video production, and web development, is an asset
