The Installation & Repair Technician (Fibre Technician) is a dynamic position. The Installation & Repair Technician will be responsible for ensuring the installation and repair of Business and Residential services are responded to and processed in a timely manner with a professional approach to customer satisfaction.

Successful applicant must reside or be willing to relocate to within 30 minutes drive time of Pictou County, Nova Scotia

**YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:

- At all times, the Installation & Repair Technician is responsible for the ensuring the health & safety of themselves and customers in an environmentally friendly manner
- Responsible for installing residential and business data services
- Ensure customer expectations, through inquiries and requests, are met and exceeded with a high-level of service
- Communicate accurate details regarding the progress of the installation & repair and applicable charges, as well as any issues that may arise, to customers
- Promote all client products and services including up-selling when appropriate
- Provide accurate information on all job statuses, communicating any delays to management and dispatch
- Accountable for ensuring all prepared time sheets and expense reports are accurate and submitted on time
- Follow all safety policies and initiatives and bring forth any recommendations; attend safety meetings as required
- Other duties as assigned

**YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:

- Experience within the Telecommunications, fiber optics & working at heights
- Must be comfortable working with ladders at height
- Working knowledge of Fiber Infrastructure an asset
- Read and interpret published work plans for installation purposes
- Analytically and mechanically inclined; strong technical skills
- Customer focused both internally and externally; ability to handle both favorable and unfavorable customers; excellent verbal and written communication
- Able to manipulate and climb ladders and poles
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight timelines and frequent demanding deadlines
- Ability to self-start and stay on task with mínimal supervision; identify problems and situations and implement solutions or escalate as required
- Able to lift, carry and manipulate 75lb. extension ladder and/or climb poles with spurs
- Must be willing and able to work various shifts as assigned (evenings, weekends & statutory holidays), based on business need
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and able to provide a Drivers’ Abstract
