**The Position**

Reporting to the Global Director of Materials Planning and Logistics, the Materials Manager is responsible for production scheduling, purchasing raw materials, managing inventory, and shipping and receiving. This role is critical to ensure RB&W coordinates material flow into and out of the Brampton facility on a JIT basis to ensure 100% on time delivery of quality products.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the leadership and success of the Materials Team. This includes 3 direct (Materials Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor and Materials Planner), and 16 indirect reports.
- Oversee the functions of materials, inventory, logistics and supply chain operations at the Brampton facility.
- Establish and maintain KPI’s and targets to meet company goals to archive business targets.
- Determine, manage, and maintain inventory levels to sustain the growth of the business between Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods.
- Create and establish FIFO procedures to support business model and ensure proper flow of goods and services.
- Manage suppliers, vendors, and outside processors.
- Create and maintain supplier performance metrics.
- Effectively address shipment delays from suppliers.
- Oversee production scheduling and work closely with Production Manager to achieve or exceed daily production targets.
- Responsible for accurate and consistent, weekly cycle counts and annual year-end inventory.
- Maintain Budget and achieve annual target on OTIF (On Time In Full).
- Work alongside the overseas interplant Materials group to ensure flow of goods are the most cost effective supply chain solutions.
- Participate in CI projects, Lean Initiatives and create cost effective solutions.
- Complete forecast and create capacity planning with Operations Team.
- Working alongside IT Team to develop BI reports.
- Participate in APQP events and new business meetings with cross functional teams.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, e.g., Materials, Supply Chain Management and /or equivalent work-related experience.
- Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a similar role, in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills required to interact with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-Starter, independent with minimum supervision and ability to prioritize workload.
- Experienced in delegating work and building a high-performance team.
- Creative thinker with a solution based and growth-oriented mindset.
- Excellent decision-making skills and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical and uses sound judgement.
- Knowledge of ERP and MRP functions.
- Experienced in PPAP process.
- Experienced in negotiations and vendor management.
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Proven ability to focus on detail, accuracy and take initiative.
- Proficient in MS office and ERP systems.
- IATF /ISO 9001 compliance standard.
- USMCA; MMOG; CTPAT; AIGA standard working knowledge and compliance.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience working in the fastener industry.
- Working knowledge of PLEX, Materials and Purchasing modules.
