**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist parts advisors with their selling to retail customers and to service technicians.
- Assist the Parts Manager with training, motivation, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all parts department staff.
- Assuring that all department staff have a thorough understanding of their duties and responsibilities
- Assist with the direction of shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
- Assist in developing, enforcing and monitoring guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Advise the Parts Manager when areas of the department are not in satisfactory condition, and discuss with the Parts Manager any ideas for improvements.
- Participate with the Parts Manager in establishing and planning of department goals and objectives.
- Must follow Company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
- This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:

- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.
- Working knowledge of automotive equipment parts and accessories.
- Current knowledge of local sources of supply.
- Knowledge of techniques for receiving, storing, and issuing parts and supplies.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports using a computerized equipment maintenance system.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Ability to work constructively with members from all departments within the dealership.
- A valid British Columbia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
