Support Technician

**Job description**
Our service team is comprised of approachable, supportive, friendly and highly skilled technicians working both as a unit and independently to resolve any issues that customers write or call in with. We're proud to deliver the kind of satisfaction that builds customer trust.
As a support operative, your role will be the primary customer care point-of-contact, and to complement Scentroid’s Engineering activities in the development of sensing instruments and analytical software, research and development in the field of electronic design, microchip programming, artificial intelligence, big-data processing, and much more. It will entail working closely with customers, diagnosing, troubleshooting and amending customers' support requirements. You will draw from and contribute to various databases and work closely with the engineering team.
This is a mostly in-office role, with the likelihood of international travel for hands-on customer support.
**Job Requirements**
- Certificate in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering or Electrical technologist diploma from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience
- A developed sense of soft skills
- Troubleshoot technical problems and debugging
- Strong computer knowledge, previous hands-on experience in electrical or electronic part assembly and troubleshooting
- Clear and coherent written communication, including visual representations of data
- Extensive organizational skills
- Experience troubleshooting multi-layer printed circuit boards
- Problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness
**Additional Assets**
- Ability to travel internationally should the need arise
- Any working experience on sensing systems, IoT, and digital filters
- Customer service experience, preferably in a technical area
