**Interested?**

Reporting to the Hardisty Manager, the Diluent Recovery Unit (DRU) Operations Supervisor’s role is to oversee the safe and reliable operations and maintenance of DRU which is a Joint Venture Asset. The position is responsible for the management of the facility process, facility programs as well as support day to day maintenance, regulatory compliance, execution of maintenance and growth projects while ensuring the integrity of facility assets and operations.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Aligns with the Company values (people, safety, integrity, executional focus), responsible for developing and mentoring team members, and providing guidance and direction for the overall group, including:

- Manages performance of individuals to achieve results.
- Builds a collaborative, innovative team to exceed customer expectations (internal and external).
- Communicates the Company’s vision and strategy in relatable terms.
- Creates an environment of engagement for team members to produce high quality services.
- Accountable for creating a culture of accountability and supporting the execution of the strategic plan for Operations and Engineering.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong safety focus within the operating asset.
- Develop and manage the budget for all operations within the DRU.
- Ensure all regulatory mandate are being met or exceeded including but not limited to ABSA, AER, OHS, NPRI.
- Participates and is key Champion of our Operations Management System (OMS).
- Provides management to direct reports to achieve operational excellence in all facets of assigned facilities.
- Mentor and assists staff with the development and execution of annual goals, aligned with Operations and Engineering and corporate strategy.
- Support training and talent development programs targeted at attaining applicable job skills and increased accountability at all levels of operations.
- Review and accept Project Execution plans for work being completed in the DRU facilities.
- Participate in the facility committees requiring Operations input.
- Review and provide feedback to all 3rd party crossing, access agreement requests on behalf of operations.
- Drawing control management for the DRU Facilities.
- Responsible for update to the Joint Venture management committee.

**Operations**
- Ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of the DRU process facility as well as corresponding tanks and equipment.
- Understand all customer interfaces and impacts of upsets to customer and the company to ensure all decisions are inline with safe and reliable operations.
- Provide knowledge support and assistance to the Operations team during times of process upsets, abnormal operating conditions, turnarounds or other special projects.
- Have a clear understanding of the Facility operations as it pertains to Process Control, Conflicts, Clear Paths and the Control Center.
- Have a full understanding of product qualities and impacts of incompatibility.

**Asset Integrity and Maintenance**
- Working with the Central Asset Integrity and Maintenance team, the DRU Operations Supervisor will have accountability for overall program execution in the field of all regulatory managed programs including but not limited to Tanks, Piping, Environmental, Asset and environmental management.
