**WHO WE ARE**
The Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) supports the Canadian Armed Forces members and their families wherever they are in the world through the provision of fitness, recreation and leisure activities, family and charitable support, retail as well as personal financial services. We offer our employees the opportunity to work with a purpose every day in an inclusive, healthy, respectful and rewarding work environment.
**THE ROLE**
The Lounge Security Guard plays an important role for Personnel Support Programs. They are essential in enforcing the rules and regulations of the mess lounge and in providing security to both our patrons and staff.
Steeped in a rich military heritage and tradition, messes have been used by the Canadian Armed Forces throughout Canada's history to foster morale and promote military values including camaraderie and unit cohesiveness. Our mess lounge acts as a place for our patrons (military members, veterans, and their family and friends) to unwind, socialize, and participate in mess activities. Through mess member sponsorship, the facility is also available for hosting various events such as weddings, meetings, and fundraisers.
As a Lounge Guard, each shift will be different as you manage access to the facility, answer patron inquiries, help maintain the cleanliness of the mess, and enforce security policies. You will open and close the facility, address minor disputes between patrons, and deescalate situations as required. This is a role where you work alongside other mess staff to provide the best customer experience of mess members.
If you are passionate about security, thrive in a customer-focused environment, and in a culture that is passionate about exceeding customer expectations, this is the opportunity for you.
