**Position**: Literacy Instructional Coach Location: Area 3 Office WinnipegStart Date: January 6, 2025 FTE: 1.00 FTE Term of Employment: PermanentApplication Deadline: Thursday, December 19, 2024 The Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more Reporting to the Area Superintendent, and the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Academic Programs and Instruction, the Instructional Coach's primary purpose is to work in collaboration with school staff to advance student achievement through the implementation of English Language Arts curricula, with a focus on literacy and support programs. Qualifications: Bachelor of Education DegreeValid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)Minimum of five years relevant classroom experience with a preference to a broad range of early and middle years' experience, with a focus on English Language Arts curricular outcomes, instructional strategies, resources and assessmentProven English Language Arts implementation skillsDemonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated experience in facilitation and organization of professional learning opportunitiesAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with administrators, teachers and other coaches consultants to promote school planning and student achievementKnowledge of Indigenous Way of LifeDemonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learningValid Manitoba Driver's License and ability to travel extensively to Area 3 schoolsDuties and Responsibilities: Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance school/classroom implementation of provincial English Language Arts curriculum and programming to meet the student needs including divisional and provincial policy and regulationsParticipate in the development and implementation of the Division's strategic plan and school plans in English Language Arts, with a focus on literacyPerform in a collaborative capacity with administrators, teachers and other school personnel to provide leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of instructional strategies and resources to support literacy programming in English Language ArtsDevelop and lead professional learning initiatives in the area of literacyAssist teachers with individual and/or classroom lesson planningPromote student achievement by encouraging professional dialogueIntegrate Indigenous perspectives into curriculum and programmingLiaise with representatives from divisional, provincial and other outside agencies as it relates to literacy and English Language Arts programmingOther related responsibilities as assigned.Applicants are required to submit the following: cover lettercurrent resumelist of three professional references including contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicant's performance in the applicant's current or recent assignmentThank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
