**Position**:
Asset Manager
- H.R. Doornekamp Construction Ltd.

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Vice President of Doornekamp Construction, The Asset Manager is directly responsible for planning, development and implementation and maintenance of asset inventories. They will be responsible for coordinating and directing the life cycle management of all equipment for effective maintenance and repair, equipment safety, tracking and utilization. This position will act as the advisor for all equipment issues and directly assists the operational team with preventative maintenance, assignment schedules, equipment budgets and potential purchases.

**Location**: Main office is in Odessa, Ontario

Job Sites primarily in Greater Kington Area, and other areas as assigned.

**Salary**: $50,0000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience

Project Specific Performance Bonus where applicable

**Hours of Work**:Variable - 44hrs/week. Some night and weekend work required
- Manage, coordinate and direct job site logistics for assets and equipment, including labour force
- Build a positive and proactive safety culture at each site along side Doornekamp Construction’s Health and Safety Manager
- Promote and reflect company core values, core focus and multi year visions for the construction division
- Liaise with staff and Health and Safety Manager to ensure all safety rules, regulations and training are current and adhered to
- Manage, coordinate and schedule all repairs with the shop team or sub-contractor as required, while monitoring spend to budget.
- Assist shop in prioritization, parts ordering and readiness for repairs
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of heavy equipment including warranties, maintenance to assist with upkeep, upgrades, repairs and replacements.
- Create and implement asset inventory, monitoring and assignment system (Asset Panda)
- Evaluate, craft and implement asset management policies and process to maintain inventory accuracy; Develop and implement strategic business plans for each asset to govern operations including a systematic method to define equipment lifecycle including preventative maintenance schedule.
- Manage and control Asset expenditure and reporting; define purchasing and budget recommendations and requirements.
- Track, define and relay forecasted Asset expenditure opportunities to leadership team
- Explore opportunities for improving the utility of unused or partially used equipment to achieve full efficiency and ROI from assets.
- Maintain equipment utilization tracking (including rentals) to identify gaps and underutilized assets.
- Manage rentals to third parties and bill accordingly (including Marine and Property divisions)
- Develop effective working relationships with leadership partners and clients to deliver efficient asset output
- Perform related responsibilities, tasks and special projects as required or assigned.
- Dispatch HD trucks

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years leadership experience in construction industry
- Commitment to understand all matters relating to health and safety and environmental standards
- Demonstrated experience in managing labour force
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with MS word & Excel programs is an asset
- Proven attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, identify priorities and problem solve efficiently
- Motivated, self starter, efficiency and results driven

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
