Fit Technician

For over 25 years, Jammers Apparel has proudly designed and manufactured sleepwear for some of the largest retailers in North America.

Reporting into the Fit Manager, here are some of the responsibilities:
**Primary Essential Functions/Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the consistency of the fit, specification, quality, and construction of each garment within assigned account base & overall proper execution of product
- Measure samples for fit and production against size specifications to ensure that company standards are maintained
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers and buyers to develop the fit and specification for each garment
- Ensure that proper fitting comments are provided precisely to the vendor in a timely manner with sketches and pattern corrections when necessary
- Communicate efficiently with overseas agents with regards to deadlines, standards, specifications, and quality requirements as well as any important issues

**Education and/or Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience required
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and pattern corrections (manual or digital)
- Knowledge of fabrics
- Detail oriented and well organized, with excellent prioritizing and follow-up skills and a high level of accountability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Expertise Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in English spoken and written, with working knowledge of French

Note: applicant must reside within the required geographic location in order to be considered.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

- Lachine, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- apparel fit & spec: 3 years (preferred)
