Pumphouse and Liftstation Tradesperson

A Journeyman Electrician Certification is preferred and an additional certification in welding would be considered an asset, but other trades such as millwright may be considered. Grade 12 or GED and a valid NWT Class 5 Driver's License are required. A Class 2 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certificate or a willingness to obtain this within two years is also required. A Class 5 Power Engineering Certificate would also be considered an asset as would experience in the operation and maintenance of pumps, valves and other related equipment. Extensive experience in the industrial trades is essential, which normally would be acquired through a minimum of three years of experience.

The City of Yellowknife offers an attractive salary range of $85,295.24 - $101,927.97 as well as a monthly housing and vacation travel allowances and a defined benefit pension plan.
