Number of positions: 1
All students must be full time day students at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in fall of 2023.
Students must meet the basic requirements of the position. Should you be offered the position, with the City of Cornwall, you will be required to submit verification of school status.
Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
Hourly Wage: Starting at $17.00 per hour
Term: 4 months, May to end of August

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive, process and balance all payments received at the front counter including by cheque, cash, debit or other means for all taxation, utility and receivable accounts
- Provide courteous and accurate bilingual customer service for all inquiries whether by phone, electronic or personally at the front counter
- Preparation of deposit for monies collected and on hand to be shipped out by couriered service
- Process deposits received from internal departments
- Assisting ratepayers with the completion of forms (PAP/name/address)
- Maintain filing system for all correspondence, including PAP forms
- Opening and sorting of all mail addressed to the department
- Provide backup for entering invoices into A/R
- Backup other staff, as required including tasks such as sorting, rolling and depositing coin
- Assist with printing, stuffing and mailing of tax and water bills and invoices, as required
- Any other responsibilities as expected or assigned
- College or University level education in Finance, Accounting or Business field
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two doses) at the time of interview
