Summer Co-op Student

Looking to gain experience in the trades, or a summer co-op? Muskoka Fire Pits is looking for co-op students for the 2023 season (April
- September). You’ll get experience welding, fabricating, CNC basics, plasma cutting, industrial painting, and working with a first class manufacturing team. This is a labor intensive job, you will be lifting heavy materials and learning to fabricate metal products in a metal shop.

We are looking for a co-op or applicant who will be entering into a trades program, or who is in a trades program, or who has recently graduated from a trades program and is looking for experience. Please do not contact us unless you meet this criteria;
- Recent high school graduates may apply.
- College/ University students in the trades or trades related field may apply.
- Recent College or University graduates looking for experience in the trades may apply.

No experience necessary, we will train you.

We have one full time and one part time position available for end of April
- September 2023

**Requirements**:

- High school, College or University student in or looking to enter a trades (welding, small engines, metalworking, engineering, engineering tech, construction etc).
- Must have steel toed boots
- A valid driver’s license, or reliable transportation.
- Standard First Aid/CPR is considered an asset.
- Able to perform physical work including lifting, pulling, or pushing heavy materials.
- Commitment to a safe work environment
- Good communication skills
- A team player with the ability to work independently on tasks
- No experience necessary, we will train you.

**Flexible hours. The shop is open weekdays from 9-5 but there is an opportunity to work weekends as well.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
