We are hiring more Janitors for more locations with Flexible hours This position now available is Monday through Friday, 3:30 - 7PM, light duty cleaning.

This position is a janitorial position. Performing effective and efficient light cleaning duties and services that optimize the quality of the teaching and learning environment.

This position is accountable for:

- Maintaining a productive balance between quality and quantity of work while being flexible to make changes in work procedures.
- Communicating effectively as well as for demonstrating teamwork to contribute towards and maintain positive work relationships.
- Performing all duties in accordance with Clever's and legislative safety practices and procedures at all times ensure their own safety as well as the safety of team members, staff, and students.

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs light cleaning/custodial duties such as cleaning enamel, sweeping and damp mopping washrooms, entranceways, hallways and classrooms in assigned areas, emptying garbage, vacuuming of carpet areas, laundry duties, washing furniture, cleaning glass, washing walls general dusting and operating powered equipment within assigned areas within the school.
- Maybe required to perform general security checks and secure the building.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Education and Experience:

- High school diploma preferred
- Six months related experience
- An equivalent combination of directly related education and directly related experience may be considered.
- Must have a valid Police Check with Vulnerable sector search

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

- Understanding of basic cleaning techniques and processes
- Self-motivated individual able to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to understand and speak in English. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
- Reliability and dependability is Key along with personal integrity and trustworthiness
- Demonstrated customer service orientation
- Ability to lift between 4 and 9 kilograms (approximately 10 to 20 pounds) on a frequent basis
- Physically able to complete all demands and responsibilities of this position

At this time the hours of work vary depending on whether you are hired for the Full time or Part time
