Responsible for working as part of the Maintenance Department to produce quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to install, program, troubleshoot, repair, update, upgrade, upsize, downsize and maintain all types of PLC’s. In addition, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, reprogram, upgrade and update all CNC controls and change as required the configuration on control board and cards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operational problem solving and seeking out continuous improvements to the process;
- Hydro inspection of equipment
- Research new technology; imply solutions to error proof process
- Test and repair industrial monitors CNC boards, CNC processors, pump and valves control cards, leaner transducers, encoders and power supply boards, etc.
- Set, adjust and document pump and servo controls as per O.E.M.
- Performing CNC and PLC modifications under O.E.M. supervision to allow new techniques in making powder metal parts.
- Provide hands on training to Electricians and Mechanics on all shifts as well as technical knowledge support and solutions
- Provide and document all changes on electrical drawings.
- Participate in team meetings to review -resolve quality, service operations, equipment, facilities, human resources and health and safety issues at any time
- Assist in the training and development of new members of the Maintenance Department.
- Participate in 5 “S” activities.
- Work in compliance with Stackpole PMDM Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949/ ISO 9001 /ISO 14001.
- All other duties as assigned

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Team player with the ability to work with others in a team based environment;
- An Ontario Trade Certificate as an Industrial Electrician-an asset
- A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility
- A certificate or diploma in Robotics-automation-PLC’s or equivalent
- Must be a reliable, mature individual with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and be able to train team members
- Must have good a knowledge and understanding of Electro/Hyronic technology and at least 5 years relevant experience

**Experience**:

- Electro/Hyronic technology: 2 years (required)
- automotive manufacturing facility: 5 years (required)
