Job description

We are looking for dynamic consultants to grow our Life Sciences, team in Canada. Your experience, knowledge, and commitment will help us to face our client's challenges.

You will be supporting different projects through your expertise as Project controller.

**Your main responsibilities**:
**Cost Management**:
Plan, estimate, and budget project costs to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget.
Collaborate with the project team to develop project cost proposals and provide monthly cost reports.
Manage project change notices and oversee the purchasing process to control costs effectively.
Implement Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to measure and track project performance.
Generate and report cash flow forecasts and work-in-place (WIP) projections for individual projects and the overall Capital Plan.

**Scheduling**:
Utilize Microsoft Project and/or Primavera software tools to develop and maintain project schedules.
Independently work on activity sequencing, resource estimating, and activity duration estimating.
Monitor and control the project schedule, analyzing deviations, and recommending corrective actions to the Project Leader.

**Finance**:
Proficiency in using SAP software to obtain information independently and analyze data.
Identify trends or concerns to the Project Leader and understand corporate financial requirements and procedures.

**Portfolio Management**:
Plan and control the Engineering project portfolio.
Interact and participate with the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) team to ensure effective portfolio management.

**Qualifications**:
Engineering or Business Degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in project engineering/construction field, or P.eng/MBA with a minimum of 3-7 years of related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with peers, management, vendors, and contractors.
Knowledge of estimating techniques, project planning, engineering and construction processes, and computer systems including scheduling programs, spreadsheets (Excel), word processing, flow charts, and presentation skills.
Technical knowledge of construction cost estimating, code of accounts, and project management.
Strong analytical skills for cost estimate analysis, bid evaluation, change order analysis, value analysis, and benchmarking project costs.
Proven experience in engineering, design, and construction project management, cost management, estimating, planning, scheduling, and progress measurement.
Experience in the pharma/biotech/Life Science industry is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
