Maintain a productive, cost efficient, high quality product cooler operation.

**_What’s involved in this role _**
- Responsible for employee relations including work direction of employees, hiring, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, disciplinary action, and compensation recommendations.
- Direct implementation of departmental objectives, goals and policies.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Work with QC to manage cooler activities necessary for the effective implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality plans and pre-requisite programs.
- Responsible for achieving department budgets in the area of labor costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes.
- Responsible for scheduling of warehouse personnel.
- Responsible for working with employees to assure a safe work environment.
- Responsible for quality and accuracy of work performed by team members.
- Responsible for working with other departments to assure good communication exists and their needs and concerns are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicates effectively with transportation, customer service and other employees to assure timely work flow resulting in positive customer experience.
- Responsible for training, maintenance and scheduled repair of material handling equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate payroll hours and processing prior to deadlines.
- Implement processes to organize and complete tasks, organize people and activities to support the process flow, ability to measure process success, insight to see opportunities for synergy and integration, and the aptitude to simplify complex processes.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

**_What you need to join our team _**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in distribution or shipping and receiving environment.
- Previous supervisory experience in a unionized environment preferred
- Possess strong verbal and written English communication skills, French an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
- High level of leadership skills including strategic thinking, fostering teamwork, cultivating relationships, and demonstrable experience leading teams through change.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience an asset
