**JOB SUMMARY**

Permanent Part-time (20 hours/week with possibility for increased hours in the future)

Day-time hours with some evening and weekend work as required

Hybrid work environment - On program and event locations & remotely

**Salary**: $25,000/year

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Fund Development & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing fundraising strategies, events, organizing third party initiatives, soliciting funds from community prospects, and supporting the Executive Director in developing materials to submit to granting or other funding organizations.

The Fund Development and Marketing Coordinator also works to support the promotion of the organization through implementing marketing campaigns, tracking marketing initiatives, and producing promotional materials, blog posts, impact videos, etc.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Fund Development (60%)**_

1. Develop and implement fundraising activities such as events, annual giving campaigns or direct mail programs.

2. Maintain positive relationships and secure commitments with U-Turn Parkinson’s donors, sponsors and stakeholders

4. Identify and build relationships with potential donors.

5. Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions

6. Create or update donor databases

8. Collaborate with the staff, board and appropriate committees
- Marketing (40%)_

10. Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities, monitor key metrics, evaluate campaign performance on an ongoing basis and report results to staff and the board

11. Develop and disseminate press releases to media outlets

12. Build relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing campaigns

13. Conduct market research, identify trends, analyze competitors and support the development of the marketing strategy

14. Performs administrative and other duties as required

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- English essential - Bilingualism an asset
- Experience working in the non-profit sector; awareness of challenges faced by those with movement disorders an asset (or committed to learning about them)
- Knowledge of planning fundraisers and events
- Proficient with computer programs and software including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, client, donor, and volunteer management software, communication software, an aptitude to learn new software and systems, and social media literacy
- Comfortable developing promotional materials and online content
- Demonstrate excellent time-management and organizational skills, ability to exercise independence of judgment, and initiative to establish work priorities and adapt to changes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, internal and external agencies, and communicate with varied audiences on topics related to fundraising and marketing
- Familiar with data entry, tracking donor trends, and able to prepare reports and correspondence
- Able to work as part of a team and independently to move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and efficient

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 2 years’ fundraising experience required
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience preferred
- Possession of a valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certification with CPR “B” or “C” and AED or willingness to obtain required
- Valid driver's license with access to private transportation required
- Criminal record and vulnerable sector check required.
