Meat Processor

The Company is a pork processing plant providing fresh and smoked Sausages, Bacon, Ham and other specialty pork products.

Located in beautiful Vancouver Island, in Port Alberni, the company has been in business for 59 years bringing "Old Country" recipes to their valued customers.

We are looking for Meat Processor/ Packer

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials throughout the plant and warehouse manually, or with powered equipment**
- Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- Feed and unload food products into/ from processing machines
- Form flattened boxes into containers
- Manually pack goods into bags, boxes or other containers
- Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- Remove filled containers - strap and load on pallets
- Place pallets in finished products warehouse
- Clean work areas and equipment
- Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in Meat industry
- Spoken English is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
