Overnight Personal Support Worker/caregiver

**Position Overview**:
As an Overnight Personal Support Worker, you will provide compassionate and attentive care to individuals during overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Remain awake and alert throughout the night to attend to the needs of clients.

2. Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.

3. Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accordingly.

4. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the family members or healthcare professionals if asked to.

5. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during overnight hours.

6. Prepare light meals or snacks as needed.

7. Perform light housekeeping duties such as tidying up common areas and laundering linens(if needed)

8. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.

9. Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding client confidentiality and privacy.

10. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the caregiving team.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.

3. Compassionate and patient empathetic

4. Ability to remain awake and alert throughout overnight shifts.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Reliable and responsible with a strong commitment to client safety and well-being.

7. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

8. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting with transfers.

9. Possession of a valid Manitoba Class 5F driver's license with a clean driving record preferred but not essential.

**Working Conditions**:

- Work is primarily performed in clients' homes.
- Shifts typically range from overnight hours, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

**Certificates, licenses and Security check**
- Criminal Record Check (CRC)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Adult Abuse Registry Check
- CPR Certificate preferred not essential
- First Aid Certificate preferred not essential

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $16.50-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
