Interior Health is looking for a
**Vice President, Digital Health **to join our incredible organization.

Leading the digital health strategy and operations team, the Vice President, Digital Health is an integral part of Interior Health’s Senior Executive Team (SET).

**About the role;**

The
**Vice President, Digital Health **ensures solutions and innovations enable efficient and effective execution of clinical and business strategies and operations improve quality and performance, provide safe care, and enhance patient experience and satisfaction.

The VP is accountable for digital health strategic investments, operations and risk management for clinical and business analytics, information management and technology services - including clinical informatics, health information management, biomedical engineering, and information technology services - and health authority wide implementation of the Advancing Care Electronically (ACE) initiative.

**Some key responsibilities include;**
- Advises the President & CEO and Board, at a strategic level, on Interior Health plans, priorities, risks and achievements in advancing digital health technology and data driven analytics to enable:

- Health care providers to quickly and appropriately access health information in order to make informed and better decisions about patient/client/resident care and organizational performance;
- Health care providers to see a patient centered complete health record regardless of how many different care providers a patient/client/resident has encountered in their health care journey;
- Patients/clients/residents and their families appropriate access to their own information online such as viewing lab results when available, confirming health information is complete and to better understand and manage their health; and
- Business and administrative process improvements to advance overall Interior Health organizational performance and workplace environment in conjunction with employees, physicians, business partners, contractors and affiliates.
- Leads Interior Health’s digital health governance committee as co-chair and executive sponsor of the Digital Health Management Committee and engages with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective operation of digital services through innovative service delivery models.
- Accountable for the development, execution, management, governance and operating model for the digital health strategy across Interior Health.
- Provides leadership for the creation of annual IMIT investment priorities and plans to ensure key elements are consistent with the strategic business priorities of the Board and the Ministry of Health.
- Accountable to establish and maintain currency of corporate policies and programs for data governance, data standards, data security and cybersecurity and is responsible to manage/mitigate current and future data asset risks.
- Accountable for overall executive leadership of practice-driven, enterprise-focused delivery of digital health services, capabilities and solutions and the creation of patient (consumer) driven platforms. Provides and presents market insights and analysis on emerging technologies and digital trends to inform Interior Health technology and data driven system of care strategic priority in conjunction with provincial digital health plans and with Ministry mandate/service plans.
- Ensures appropriate stakeholder engagements and collaboration are made both internally and externally including the SET members, Board, the Ministry of Health other health system partners.
- Leverages global expertise to facilitate the rapid development of strategies and plans, beginning with assessing existing digital and information technology services and assets, developing a comprehensive vision and roadmap for digital health.
- Identifies and addresses critical issues and risks to achieve short, medium, and long-term objectives, strategies, plans, and programs to optimize service, improve the patient experience, and meet Ministry of Health mandated expectations.
- Develops, implements and monitors organizational and portfolio performance against operating targets and key performance indicators. Ensures programs and services are designed, integrated, operated, measured, and reported on in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and attainment of established goals and objectives.
