**POSITION**

The Technical Project Lead is responsible for the project planning and project management of work related to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and support for the Business Intelligence Reporting Tool (BIRT) and the Data Warehouse.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Project Planning**
- Develops detailed project plans and leads project initiatives within the overall Information Management (IM) Strategy.
- Coordinates deployment implementation activities in coordination with members, vendors and staff team.

**Project Management**
- Oversees all areas of project management including coordinating project schedules, planning of resources, monitoring and reporting of project progress and reviewing technical quality of work to ensure high standards are met by the team.
- Manages consulting services and contracts provided by external professionals, ensuring effective quality control of results and evaluation of services.
- Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the team and project; reports on risks and issues.
- Manages project dependencies and critical path.
- Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using project management tools and principles.
- Tracks project milestones and deliverables.
- Develops and delivers progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations for Leadership and stakeholders.
- Proactively manages changes in project scope and schedule, identifies potential issues and risks and devises mitigation plans.
- Works with the staff team to prioritize change orders, fixes and member requests.

**Liaison**
- Works closely with the staff team, other Alliance staff, and stakeholders to ensure linkages in all project phases.
- Liaises with the staff team and member centre resources to coordinate work related to business requirements, technical requirements, creation/ execution of test plans, and the identification and tracking of defects.
- Participates on committees and working groups.
- Creates materials and facilitate trainings and webinars.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in IT, Computer Science or relevant field, or combination of education/work experience.
- PMP certification or equivalent experience with information management and systems project management principles.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience managing large complex IT system projects using well defined and proven methodologies and approaches with a minimum of at least 2 years in a health care environment.
- Working knowledge of change management principles, practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of information management systems, data analysis, data migration, system testing, scripting, and database management.
- Knowledge of technical documentation and writing SQL queries.
- Microsoft Certified Professional designation an asset; ITIL Foundation Certificate an asset.
- Commitment to the principles of Health Equity, as outlined in the Alliance’s Health Equity Charter.
- Ability to conduct work in keeping with the Alliance’s commitment to anti
- oppression, anti-racism (including anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism), French language services, and to being 2SLGBTQ+ positive.
- Experience in a non-profit, provincial association is an asset.

**WORK LOCATION**

This position will have some flexibility of working from home and will be required to be on-site when needed at the Alliance office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

**COMPENSATION**

Annual Salary: $76,306

The Alliance offers an exceptional benefits package, including pension with HOOPP, extended health and dental benefits, and a generous vacation package. Salary is set within Alliance’s established salary grid and policy guidelines.
