Daytime Custodian

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Custodian**:
**Fisher Wavy is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee who is detail oriented and reliable to fill the position of Custodian at our Main office building. This is a Full-time position and comes with competitive wages and a benefits package.**

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Perform general, routine custodial duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, kitchen, gym, doing laundry and restocking cleaning, kitchen and paper supplies.
- Perform routine maintenance of custodial equipment and supplies.
- Empty trash and other waste containers, dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
- Unlock doors to access areas for cleaning, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- May assist or perform snow removal activities and minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities.
- Report needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
- Display professionalism toward our companies and customers
- Maintain compliance with all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental, Human Resources policies
- Standard of 35 hours of work per week. Scheduled as 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months’ commercial/industrial custodial experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Criminal Background Check (CPIC)

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Possess working knowledge of the methods, techniques and materials used in custodial work.
- Familiar with operating, caring for and storing custodial equipment and supplies.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
- Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers and companies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
