Shuttle Bus Driver

Do you want to work in an environment where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of site shuttle busses and fleet vehicles? **What will you be doing**
- Safely and efficiently operating site shuttle buses, passenger vans and other site vehicles as assigned.
- Performing pre and post trip checks of unit each time it is used and fill out required vehicle logbooks.
- Making judgments on the working condition of equipment, recommending required repairs.
- Maintaining clean, sanitary conditions of equipment.
- Fueling bus and vehicles as required.
- Picking up lunches and mail on an as needed basis.
- Assisting with movement of fleet vehicles to offsite contractor for maintenance.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of passengers.
- Completing all applicable paperwork as required.
- Driving safely, responsibly and being prepared for all road conditions.
- Maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
**What we are looking for**:
- Education
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Manitoba Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Endorsement.
- First Aid Training is an asset.
- Experience
- Must have five (5) years experience in the operation of related equipment.
- Experience conducting pre-operational checks (visual walk-about) for operational safety of equipment and document in logbook.
- Knowledge of normal operating parameters (engine temperature, fluid levels, etc.) and required mechanical condition (hoses, engine, tires, etc.) of equipment.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be capable of driving a variety of equipment (example: coach, school bus, vans, SUV’s, etc.).
- Provide a clean drivers abstract.
- Must have excellent driving skills and habits.
- Must be organized, punctual and reliable.
- Must be calm, pleasant and have a helpful manner.
- Ability to communicate using cell phone, two-way radio, telephone and log sheet.
- Initiative and judgement to organize and maintain flow of work and accuracy of records.
- Must be punctual, dependable and safety minded.
- Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to understand detailed information is essential.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and respond with initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to maintain successful working relations at all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a **minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom**. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
**Working Conditions**:
- Work safely in hazardous situations, i.e.: bad road conditions.
- Work in environments that require personal protective equipment and clothing.
- Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures ranging from +30°C to -40°C.
