- Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations
- Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
- Report and document investigations and conclusions/recommendations
- Provide emergency response when required
- Participate in cleaning up spills of chemicals and biological agents and other toxic substances
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
- Technical writing
- Write daily basic progress reports
- Assist in conducting field research and surveys to collect data and samples
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations
