Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Manager of Parks, Recreation, and Facilities is responsible for the administration, operations and management of departmental buildings, facilities, parks, cemeteries, and recreation programs and services. Responsibilities include performing diverse, specialized, and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making responsibility. The Manager organizes and oversees day-to-day activities and is responsible for providing department-level support to the Community Services Director in a variety of areas.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- A minimum of five (5) years’ of relevant progressive experience in a Municipal facilities, parks, recreation, and cemeteries is required, including a minimum of three (3) years’ supervisory experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, Facility Management and Administration certificates through Parks Recreation Ontario, Ontario Parks Association and/or Ontario Recreation Facilities Association.
- Basic Arena Refrigeration certification.
- Valid standard First Aid & CPR/AED certification.
- Valid “G” Driver’s Licence for the province of Ontario.
- A good understanding of all policies, procedures, by-laws, Ministry guidelines, regulations and legislation related to the operation of facilities, parks, programs, and cemeteries and equipment, and maintenance is required.
- Proven leadership abilities, excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Good understanding and experience with Microsoft Office Software programs.
- Strong planning/time management and organizational skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in related fields such as Recreation, Facilities and Parks.
- Familiarity with Facility Scheduling, Recreation and Cemetery software.

Salary range is $66,994.20 to $78,842.40 and will commensurate with experience and skills.

This position involves office work as well as patrols of facilities, parks and cemeteries that require physical demands outside of normal office working conditions. Travel is required and work can be performed outdoors.
