Mammoth Equipment is a manufacturer of diesel exhaust systems and accessories, providing exhaust solutions for the Mining Industry for over 40 years.

We are growing rapidly and looking to expand our Operations team as we have recently moved into a new larger facility in Headingley.

Mammoth is looking for a well-organized, detail-oriented, ambitious and self-motivated individual to assist with the daily purchasing tasks for our Operations Department.

**Day-to-day duties include**:

- Working with suppliers: _
- Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
- Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
- Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
- Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
- Monitoring and adhering to applicable laws, regulations and policies regarding the purchase of goods and services.
- Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
- Cross-team communication: _
- Communicating with the warehouse team (inventory manager) to determine purchase needs.
- Communicating delivery schedules to the warehouse team.
- Reporting on the purchasing activity to the Operations manager.

**Education**:

- **Colledge diploma or DCS required**:

- BA in Logistics, Purchasing, Business Administration, Industrial Operations, or other relevant fields (preferred)
- Experience in a similar role of **at least one year** required.
- 2 years or greater experience in procurement and purchasing will be an asset.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Starting salary may be negotiable, depending on your experience and education.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
