**Job description**

Powerent has a current opportunity for a Rental Technician to join the team in Edmonton, AB.

The Rental Technician will undertake the effective execution of quality assurance for our rental and sales fleet by the ‘prep to ship’ of rental equipment for projects and the maintenance and minor repairs to equipment to ensure the highest standards of equipment for rental projects.

Essential Function and Responsibilities
- Check-in rental equipment upon return/termination of rental to ensure all equipment is returned in satisfactory condition.
- Perform testing on rental equipment to ensure that the equipment is available and always ready-to-rent.
- Providing customer technical support in person as well as answering technical questions by telephone.
- Work with manufacturers or field representatives to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.
- Actively participate in achieving customer satisfaction and product quality.
- Maintain shop and storage areas in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
- Deliver and pick-up equipment as needed.
- Load and unload rental equipment on company vehicles, customer vehicles and couriers.
- Assist in quality control and safety programs.
- Shipping and Receiving

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma.
- A practical knowledge of electronics/mechanics, mathematics and test equipment are considered minimum requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work under mínimal supervision.
- Possess excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and communication skills and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
- Able to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
